"Our Lord has written the promise of the resurrection, not in books alone, but in every leaf in spring-time"
(Martin Luther).
Luther's sentiment especially rings true for our little family this year, in the midst of such a glorious spring. We Berrys loved celebrating the promise of the resurrection over Easter weekend with our families, our church community, and our sweet friends; hallelujah that the risen Lord continues to make all things new!
As we watched and waited for Easter this year, we decorated the house...
...and made "birds' nests" and hot cross buns in a Maundy Thursday cooking extravaganza; obviously, the best part was the spoon and bowl lickin'.
Our ballerina also had a little recital over Easter weekend, and performed a lovely dance as a beautiful butterfly in front of family and friends...
...and then spent time playing and snacking with her brother and cousins after her stage debut:)
Easter itself dawned bright and beautiful...
...we strolled to and from church in the sunshine...
...and then found Easter baskets in the car after church:)
We headed to Honey and D's house for a delicious Easter luncheon and read some new Easter books...
...and got some good snuggles...
...and then headed to Grammie and Grandaddy's house for another delicious meal and a visit with Rosemary...
...and some more sweet snuggles.
Friends, as you enjoy this Mother's Day weekend, may you also delight in the knowledge that our Lord is risen indeed!
