Walking from Advent to Easter (Part I)

One of my most favorite things about both the Advent and the Lenten seasons is pulling out our wooden "wreath" and visually marking the days of Mary's journey to Bethlehem and Jesus' journey to the cross, respectively. And though Evelyn does not have a full understanding of Advent and Lent, she, too, certainly knows about watching a journey unfold daily and waiting and counting the days until the joy of Christmas and Easter arrive.  In that spirit, here are some moments of the days of our own journey this year from the beginning of Advent through this Holy Week and the end of Lent:

Got the Christmas tree?  Check.

See the wooden wreath above?  In Evelyn's words, "Mary is a'walkin'."  Also, this picture was taken before Ev's first ever trip to see the Mini-Nutcracker with Honey, a performance near and dear to the hearts of the Cummings family:)

Our littlest love did lots of supervising of the decorating of the tree from his basket:)

These two angels got their game faces on before the St. A's Christmas pageant.

Christmas Eve morning is here!

 Yay for Christmas morning!

Good morning, sweet James, and merry 1st Christmas to you:)

The days following Christmas were full of hikes and fun family time...

...and James the youngest met James the eldest for the first time!

Part 2 coming soon!
